Snorkeling at Los Arcos
Rent a panga from Alonso. He will take you out to the southern beaches and Los Arcos for great snorkeling and scuba diving. He provides flippers, snorkel gear and all the requisite amenities for a safe and fun trip!
Blue Footed Booby – usually found in the Galapagos Islands – has started nesting at Los Arcos in Puerto Vallarta as of 2015. It is most exciting to have this incredible species right here to see when you take a boat trip out to Los Arcos for snorkeling, scuba diving or just for the pleasure of enjoying the awesome natural scenery.

Canopy Trips
There are many canopy trips available in PV. Your personal houseman will guide you and make reservations for you. They are usually a full day and tons of fun for kids and adults as the jungles are so beautiful as you zip through the trees and over the rivers.
Vallarta Botanical Gardens
Nestled in the lush mountains south of Puerto Vallarta about 45 minutes, it is definitely worth the visit. The bougainvillea is a sight to behold as it cascades down the side of the building and frames the lovely Koi pond filled with blooming lilies. The beautiful gardens feature lush grottoes and fern trails, an orchid and vanilla house, charming church and an amazing great hall. Everywhere you look you see interesting plants, flowers and trees. Bob Price, the owner, is happy to arrange a personal tour.
The restaurant at the gardens overlooks the entire valley and and always has cool breezes while you enjoy a delicious lunch. Our favorite is their pizza and their guacamole with homemade chips.
The restaurant in the main building overlooks cascading bougainvillea and a koi and lily pad pond.
Tour Around Puerto Vallarta
Below are some photos of the Malecon (boardwalk) with sculptures made from Bronze and also from sand. There is also a man covered in sand as a mime on the Malecon. Many more interesting things are always happening day and night, which will continually draw you back to this magical place. At night folkloric dancers entertain and each day the Papantla bird-men perform their colorful ritual tradition “Flying on the Pole“. The malecon is a wonderful place to walk each morning as there’s a lot of action with boats, fishermen, surfers trying to catch that perfect wave!

Bargains galore and it is fun to shop on Basilio Badilla in Old Town Vallarta. Lots of shops from custom-made silver jewelry at Cassandra Shaw Jewelry to antiques at Banderas Bay Trading Company along with several dress shops like La Bohemia (corner of Basilio Badillo @ Constitucion) for unique accessories, jewelry and San Miguel sandals.
